On the morning of October 11, 2019, in the conference room of Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Justice (the Bureau), Wan Zhendong, director of the Bureau, met with BCI & BIMC team which was led by Ms. Xiao Jingyi，BCI & BIMC's executive president of council and Mr. Andy See, senior consultant of BCI & BIMC. Fu Qiang, deputy director of the Bureau, was also present at the meeting, together with other representatives from departments under the Bureau and from the Administration-under-the-rule-of law Office under the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee.
Ms. Xiao introduced BCI & BIMC from the following three aspects: its development history, current running status and typical cases it has dealt with. More specifically, Ms. Xiao introduced BCI & BIMC's three major platforms for foreign law ascertainment, high-end talent training, and cross-border investment services, as well as its advantages in fields of international commercial mediation, corporate compliance research, investigation in important decision-making, and big data analysis of information in legal business. Ms. Xiao said that BCI & BIMC will fully integrate with Qingdao's urban development strategy, continue to expand and deepen the cooperation between the two parties, and work with the Bureau to create legal service projects which are more in line with the city characteristics and its prominent geographical advantages, in order to promote the high-quality development in Qingdao. Wan Zhendong said that the BCI & BIMC is a think-tank as well as a supporting platform for high-end and innovative legal services with its unique advantages in areas including marketization, rule of law, professionalism, neutrality, and authority. Mr. Wan went on expressing his hope that the BCI & BIMC will further strengthen the platform's advantage, carry out in-depth cooperation in law ascertainment, overseas corporate compliance service platforms and so on, to help Qingdao create a higher-quality business environment under the rule of law. As the next step, BCI & BIMC will keep close contact and conduct negotiations with Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Justice on the implementation of the cooperation.
